Competition Registration Methods

Modified on Mon, 19 Oct at 1:53 PM

Competition registration determines which competition or competitions a player's score contributes towards. MiClub supports several registration methods, allowing clubs to manage player participation according to their preferred operational workflow.

Types of Competition Registration

1. Automatic Registration

Eligible players may be automatically registered into the relevant competition based on the club's configured registration settings.

2. Golf Shop / Administrator Registration

Golf Shop staff or Competition Administrators can manually register players into the appropriate competition as part of their daily competition management procedures.

3. Registration After Payment

Where competition fees apply, player registration may form part of the payment process, allowing the club to manage competition entry and fee collection together.

4. MiScore Self-Registration

Where enabled, players can register themselves into an available competition directly through the MiScore App, reducing the need for manual registration by Golf Shop staff.

Competition Registration Checklist

  • Check registration settings: Confirm the club's preferred registration method is correctly configured before competition play begins.

  • Avoid duplicate registrations: Check whether a player has already been automatically registered before adding them manually.

  • Confirm competition eligibility: Ensure players are registered into the correct competition based on the applicable entry requirements.

  • Understand payment workflows: Where registration is linked to payment, confirm the required process has been completed.

  • Check MiScore participation: Players using MiScore should confirm they are registered into the intended competition before submitting their score.

  • Multiple competitions: Where applicable, confirm that players are registered into all relevant competitions to which their scores should contribute.

Best Practice: Competition Administrators should understand the club's registration workflow and verify player registrations before play commences. Correct registration ensures scores are allocated to the intended competitions and helps avoid adjustments after the round.
